Giving Beer Luvers a Bad Name
From the KCStar: A 46-year-old man was charged with domestic assault today after allegedly kicking his wife in the stomach when she failed to move fast enough bringing him a beer.
Jackson County Prosecutor Jim Kanatzar said in a press release that Terry W. Seward had been charged with several counts of assault after a fight over the beer resulted in a melee with several family members.
According to police, the confrontation began about 10:30 p.m. Friday when Seward allegedly kicked his wife in the stomach with steel-toed shoes. This led to an argument between Seward and his two sons, who soon left the house with their mother. When the family members returned about 2 a.m., one of the sons confronted Seward, who allegedly stabbed him in the lower back. When the other son tried to restrain Seward, he was stabbed in the thigh. The victims were treated at a hospital, and Seward was taken into custody.
